Presently i am in Bangalore. It was for a conference and its over now. So I got the spare time to write. The venue was Leela Palace. Before coming here, whoever i told about the venue praised it. After visiting the place I found it really great. It is royal. I regret I didn't have any camera :-( Also the conference was a nice experience with foreign delegates and their indian counterparts presenting their work was good to witness. Also i got some insight in the area of my work.
I would like to visit such type of places again and again. And about Bangalore, its a cool place. Every body is busy with his work. Traffic situation is horrible. You find red light and jams every 10 minutes. Also the pollution due to vehicles is very annoying. I am sick of the deisel smoke fuming autos. Also the rates of auto are too high, and that too you will get one is completely on the mood of taxi driver. They seem to have really good business. Now regarding the night lfe on Bangalore its zero. Malls and markates are closed after 9:00 pm. I was surprised seeing that where ever we went at that time shops were getting closed, and in some cases doors are closed on the face of customer.
The one good thing about Bangalore is its weather. Its very pleasant. Good breeze is there all over the day and the temperature is quite cool in the morning hours. Also the people at Bangalore look savvy.
I met few old friends and it was pleasant to meet after long time. But looking at their life is very hectic and no time for personal affairs. Traffic takes good 3-4 hours of ur day in case your place is a little far from office. Every night come at aroung 9-10 only to leave early in the morning. I don't want a life like that. But i think most probably i have to come to this place next year and become the part of this never ending cycle :(.
Also i met two good friends Raka and Chinta, with whom i am staying. Great people and its fun to be with them.
In the end the trip was very cool and provided me with the much needed respite from the boring and monotonous life at IITK.
